Voting Power Delegation
The veCSM governance model allows token holders to delegate their voting power to other addresses — enabling more active participants to represent passive holders in protocol decision-making.
Key Rules:
Single Address Delegation Each veCSM holder may delegate to one address at a time.
Dynamic Weight Adjustment Delegated voting weight updates in real time as the delegator’s veCSM balance changes.
Effective Duration Delegation takes effect from the current block and remains valid until revoked or the veCSM is fully withdrawn.
Delegation-Compatible Collateral Even when veCSM is locked as collateral in Flexi Loan, it still retains voting rights and can be delegated.
How to Delegate
There are three delegation methods supported by the CosmBank governance system:
1. Smart Contract Call
Use the delegate(address delegatee) function on the governance contract.
function delegate(address delegatee) external;2. Off-Chain Signature Delegation
Use delegateBySig() to delegate voting rights via a signed message —
compatible with wallet providers like MetaMask.
This gasless method allows secure delegation without sending a transaction directly.
3. Governance Dashboard (Front-End UI)
CosmBank provides an intuitive Governance Dashboard for managing delegations, voting, and proposal interactions without writing code.
veCSM delegation enables flexible, secure, and gas-efficient voting participation — giving every user a voice, even if they don’t vote directly.
